Ingredients:- 400g (14 oz) spaghetti

- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Spaghetti: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of the pasta cooking water and then drain the pasta.
2. Prepare the Sauce: While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic slices and cook until they turn golden brown and are fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add Red Pepper Flakes: Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for another 30 seconds to a minute.
